I think this is a battery conditioner / equalizer and not for discharging.

Some say that this device should be used after u use your cells, i.e. don't discharge using this device while your battery is full. It'll damage the cells.

I, myself, only use this once every half year to recondition those matched cells, while charging still maintain by my CE GFX Turbo 35 at 30 amp discharge.

One tip : if you plan not to use the battery for long period, fully discharged them before you put it on safe place.

Cheers,

nb. Mr. Rosdi, correct me if I'm wrong. Sorry, I'm old time player.

It is better to discharge your Sub C battery before you charge back. It is better to use this charger cause it will discharge the battery equalize cell by cell.

If you discharge flat using this discharger, it won't demage your battery because it has cut off current. So current still available even 24 hrs discharge.

There is much different if you discharge using your charger. You can feel "punch" to your motor.

It is ok for the beginner. It can charge upto 5A only.

I think it depend on what kind of cells u want to charge.
If they're not MATCHED batt. this charger is truly novice (below beginner).

My criteria for charger of MATCHED BATTERY is :
1. Protrak / Comp. Elec Turbo GFX / GMVis - High
2. Pulsar Comp-2 / Pit Bull X3 /Apex Zero - Medium
3. Pulsar Sport / Apex Infinity - Beginner
Others consider novice level IMO

Cheers,
