The different between T2 & T2R is ;
Chassis of T2R is not carbon,it is make of FPR material
T2R front diff is not multi diff(only diff)
You can check the spec at www.teamxray.com

For me,i prefer high torque for this SS19 track, for Titiwangsa high RPM,but you can use high RPM with correct gear ratio at this SS19 track (lost bit of pick -up)

Hi guys..

Just nak kongsi info..selalunya laydown motor mmg utk RPM & standup utk Torque. Tapi stock 23T ni dia boleh tune utk RPM & Torque, itu pasal Katana, Yokomo, Atlas, Echo, Xenon dll ader 4 jenis motor 23T(LT, LR, ST & SR). Pasal gearing ni elok la test kat track baru boleh agak. Saya pakai motor Flap laydown, best ratio saya guna kat SS19 ialah 6.5. Saya rasa ratio utk laydown motor yg abg Azam syorkan adalah utk motor Yokomo FLT & Tamiya.

Tulah..i've read somewhere that laydown gives higher RPM and  stand up gives higher torque....My Kawada 23t motor has stand up brush...so that means my motor is RPM or torque based?

The recommended gearing ratio given by the manufacturer is 5.2-5.8..

pak ya.. andy dass & suah dah buat test kat rc planet guna x-ray. Nampak ok. Bila pakya sampai nanti boleh tanya kat diaorang setting T2 untuk track tu.. dari segi tayar.. yang paling sesuai pada pendapat saya : Sorex 40R. Insert C medium. Ratio untuk stand up motor : 6.1 ~6.2 dan laydown : 5.5 ~5.8.

- Azam -

Erm... boleh tanya sikit... stand up motor: 6.1-6.1 dan laydown: 5.5-5.8 Huh

Bukan stand up tu lebih torque dan laydown tu lebih RPM ke?Huh

I'm confused.... Huh

I had been there racing before, with ex Yokomo Mr4tc special and Tc3,so this xray setting should be good for this track, but this is a starting basic set-up,do some adjustment only at rear, the front is good enough.

See James there are people out there reading your report on the T2. Definitely I am one of them. I wont be surprise those people in Klang Valley also reading it.

Your update has certainly being helpful for me. Keep up the good work.

P.s Have tested your T2 on a very technical track like the RC Planet Track (Formerly Subang Speed Way). Appreciate some tips on set-up similar to that track. Thinking of joining the race there this weekend.

i fall in love with t2 series specially 07 type is because of it design not because of the list of championship that the team/car gain. from the kits manual, mechanically it is superb that this r/c car making such breakthrough. all adjustment is just seem so easy to access, very convenience. the only thing still lack is only the chassis, it still a flat graphite. but i think i stick to this type, for mydream car for a while. mechanical has it limit, and the limit is so close with this xray.

maybe in next few months we could see a reinforcement titanium/metalic chassis on it way...

what type of ESC and motor that youre using? pretty expensive huh...

yes james, why dont you put your experince in setup, which setup tools is better, how certain setting lost overtime, and much more. and all based on your experience, instinct and prediction. no one else could say no because it your idea. but of course someone else idea could be taken into account.. but you still have the right to decline.

no offense. just sharing. if someone else said, something else better, that bcoz they like it, if without prove such as datasheet or sometin'. for a beginner like me, i would like to suggest to take a look electrifly triton/triton 2, if were looking for a charger. it's a very long term invesment.

get slow but steady
