i hope you can have a look at the fan again.the blades are exactly the area of a 20cent coin, while the whole thing is smaller than a 50cent coin. It's powered by the BEC circuit on the receiver.it's not usually found in PC's since it's a 5V fan. Most fans in PC's run of 12V.

The fan's quite huge.Think same size with the one used in PC(not talking about Pentium 4 or AMD motherboard but slower). What's the power supply for the fan?
If use brushless setup in belted car, will it damaged the belt by it's extremely high torque?
Thanks
no.I've used it on belted cars b4. Sorry i still don't have the pics guys. I've trully uploaded the pics but i cannot access the link without my own PC..which I'm at the moment too busy to setup again.

maranello try 25 or less.I run the same final ratio as 25pinion/72spur. I use a fan and i don't have any problems.Anyway,it's normal for the ESC to be very panas. As long as it doesn't shutdown in the middle of the run it's ok.
to extend the range..i highly recommend using a separate receiver battery, the type that the nitro cars use.
As for the space,i use a Futaba S9550 servo-low profile and it saves a lot of space for me.I didn't have to put anything on top of each other when i was driving a TC3 as well.

M_Syafiq 1.the system has 6 profiles-3 with reverse+brake,3 with braking only. 2.still working on the pics
maranello What car are you driving?it depends on the internal ratio as well. Also,if your system is just hot,but no shutdown, that's ok already.
- tc3. - berapa pinion yg sesuai utk spur 72 bagi sprint test 80 meter? - buat masa ni saya letak receiver atas servo steering sebab dah tak ada ruang sebab esc supersport besar sangat. boleh bagi idea kat mana nak letak receiver tersebut. - macamana nak beri jangkauan receiver lebih jauh lagi sebab skrg ni bila agak jauh sedikit kereta hilang kawalan?
Hello people, I get a lot of questions from everyone on the novak brushless system,so i think i might as well write a review on it and everyone can later ask/post questions and all the users can try to explain. I'm using the system with the S5800 motor. 1.How fast is it? Well, it is very fast. With proper gearing it can really challenge the 12T -14T.If you gear it conservatively, somewhere above 7.0 then u will feel like a 27T stocker. I must also mention that the torque of the motor is incredible.tyres will spin all the time. Therefore the acceleration is unmatched by any brushed motor you can find.Overall I'd say it offers the same laptimes as a 16T. note-i've been whooped by a Xenon stock b4.of course, adjustments later,i whooped it back.
2.Performance besides speed This system is almost flawless. It is extremely smooth. There is no such thing as cogging in it.Credit to Novak for solving all these minor issues before selling. 3.Reliability However, you will find that it the ESC heats up to very high temperatures during hot days and with tall gearing. Most times at about 5 mins, it will go to thermal shutdown by itself. -for this problem i encountered in the early days of using it,i have installed a 5V fan on the ESC.There is no more heating problems. It never shutdown anymore. In fact it runs so cool, you won't know that it has been running. This is after about 30-50 runs with the fan. -There has been cases where the ESC just melts down and total failure occurs. 2 reasons 1.The user gears it like a 23T stock motor after realising the relative speed is like a 23T stock. No,the lower limit is near 7.0 without cooling. 2.No cooling is used.I've been told that even without a fan, just an airduct/air flow at the ESC is enough. With the fan , i've safely geared it at more lower than 6.0 without problems.I didnt go lower because it was already too fast.
4.Is it worth the money? Well it depends on how/what you would expect to gain from RM1000 of investment. 1st of all you will not be able to enter most races, and if you have only RM1000 for ESC/Motor,that sucks. However , bear in mind that this would probably be the last ESC/Motor you will need for a longgg time. Personally i dont really care for races, as i drive for fun 95% of the time.It suits me to a T since it also offers maintenance free operation all year.Plus,i'm beginning to save on motors since every about 30 packs(10 packs/skim,3 skims) i'd have to change motors.
5.Minor issues Size:The ESC is HUGE.Be prepared to move a lot of stuff if your car is tight. Cables:Super long cables, but these are great for belted cars like Xray and TA04. Size again:The motor is also a little longer than a regular brushed motor.
If there is anything you guys want to know,go ahead and ask.I'll try my best to answer them. The only reason why i write this is because i think it is a great investment, and it solves a lot of issues for some of us.I think this is the best 1000 bucks i've spent in RC.
berapa pinion yang sesuai untuk spur 72 apbl guna this novak supersport brusshless system. sebab saya dah guna pinion 26 dan spur 72 tapi bila running still panas pada esc. tolong komen.

1.It's a 5V fan. Most computer fans are 12V.it's very small, smaller than the ESC itself.I got it from RC shop so it's easily available enough. Will give pics later as i forgot my pic-hosting account. 2.I don't know how much it will drop over Raya, i don't even know when is the next Raya anyway...maybe next 6 months might drop RM100 more?who knows about that?besides, you also have to know that the hobby shops will have to clear all the current stocks b4 the lower priced ones come in,so it might actually take up to a whole year(or more).

i) The fan, is it the same fan that been used in a PC?Any pic of the one that you're using? ii) You wrote that the price will drop over time. How much do you think the price will be during this Hari Raya?
Really appreciate your reply.

1.The heatsink does not actually dissipate heat.It only helps to quicken the dissipation. I find that the thermal shutdown is just below the max running temperature in our tropical heat. So,it kicks in all the time. That's why the fan is still needed(for me). I have 2 friends who don't use the fan and they are ok.But i have some friends who melted the system b4 as well.I prefer to be safe.
2.I don't think the high price comes from the high torque. It's more becos the sales volume is still lower. The price will drop over time. It's been RM1200 at release time, now its Rm1000 flat. It's not more expensive than the most expensive brushed motor(RM400)+most expensive ESC(RM700)
