but MNC doesn't consist of stock racing only does it? yes, driving without bumping all over the place is a good start but batt capacity does matter in modified racing.
3300 or 3800 or 4300 does not make much of a difference in stock racing anyway. Taller gearing means faster commutator death. If one is willing to go all out to win and waste money doing so, that person won't be playing EP RC for long anyway. Such a person will most probably get out of EP RC and start spreading the word that EP RC is very expensive compared to Nitro etc. etc.
EP RC Touring Car Racing is not just about getting the best equipment your money can buy, you have to be knowledgeable in many aspects to be able to be good in it. That could also be the reason why there is a cycle in the hobby. People starting in EP then switching to Nitro then back to EP or stopping all together.
Some will come into the hobby for the thrills but get disappointed when it becomes expensive thru waste because they do not bother to go indepth into the technical aspects of the hobby. I, myself indulge in this hobby because of the vast technical challenge this hobby has to offer. Racing is actually a result of what I've learnt and put to the test.
Come this 5th round, I'll be using 3300 Sanyo/GP (Unmatch) cells Speed without Control is Useless.

Put your feet into an organizers shoes. What happen if you organize a race soley for beginners (Stock) how many will take part and how long the series will survive?
Who will continue to organize with this requirement. It is nice to have but it is hard to maintain.
lets the season concludes without anymore changes; be it battery capacity etc. Comes next season, if there's one...than introduce all the fancy changes!
yea...it's just the battery... but higher capacity batteries also allow for taller gearing.
concurrently, why just 3800 when the latest, highest, biggest, baddest capacity is 4200mAH
The commitee has decided to revise the Battery Ruling for MNC. Starting with the Final Rd 12th Feb 2006, Ipoh, the battery capacity has been revised to maximum 3800 mah.
Also for stock category, those who are in top 40 list (not eligible for stock race) are allowed to take part in this category during Ipoh MNC 5. However, points will not be awarded but the winner can take home the throphies and honours.

Thanks OCY for your moral support. I knew of your planned trip to TITC. But the date on the 12th happened to be the most suitable date available. We will miss you this round but too not much. He he he. Good luck in your endeavours. We Malaysian always behind you all the way.
Anyways as I had mentioned earlier we are looking at who to crown the runner-ups for the MNC 2005 Championship.
Year 2006 RC should be a better year believe me.

Wishing all participants the best. Lets make this final round a memorable or a great race! And lets hope for better things for RC in 2006. Leonard Kee, Eric Chow and I will most probably skip this final round as we will be participating in the Thailand International Touring Car Championship (TITC) beginning on the 17th - 19th Feb. Otherwise we will definitely be there having fun with you guys.

As the Chairman of the MNC5 organizing committee I would like to offer any LHS to put up advertisement banners or set-up promotional counters in return for some goodies to be offered as Lucky Draws for participants. The value is immaterial as long there is a contribution in making the finale a grand event. We are not interested on your cash.
Any takers? It is not limited to only LHS but open to anyone. Please IM me or call 0125185649 for further details.

With this official confirmation of venue I would like to journey back to the year 2004, where RCCC did our Merdeka Fun Run. The finals was a tough run where all, I mean ALL the TOP GUNS than (e.g OCY, Jackie, Andy, James Khoo and many more) were having the race of their life and was a very entertaining spectacle to the watching crowd. Most of the Teams were there Yokomo, Baracuda, HPI, RCLab Team, Teams from Sg Patani, TC3 Team from Penang, Johore (Lawson), T.Intan, Taiping and not to forget other Ipoh Racers from Perak. It was really purely Fun than.
Wish it will be the same again this coming February.

1) For the 2005 MNC, to promote fairplay the commitee will only allow 3300 mah to be used in all MNC rounds. The use of 3700mah and 3800mah will only be enforced for the next MNC year.
2) The commitee has also reviewed and studied the tournament format and decided for 2005 MNC, there will be 5 rounds of competition. The national champion will be determined based on points taken from BEST 4 out of 5 rounds.
Therefore there will not be any Final Rd for the MNC and the Qualification for the final as stated in the MARCC Rule book is automatically annulled. The changes are essential to promote more participation in the MNC as well as not to limit entries in the MNC. This is inline with the commitee vision to develope and promote RC sports in Malaysia.
3) In addition to this, the commitee has also changed the category names from :
EXPERT CLASS to OPEN MOTOR CLASS NOVICE CLASS to STOCK MOTOR CLASS
4) In view to suggestion and experience from the last 2 MNC Rounds, the commitee has decided that the starting position in all heats in the remaining MNC rounds will be based on the latest Official Drivers' Ranking of MNC (EP) 2005 Season.
In the absence of drivers in the list the lower ranked driver will be bump-up to fill-up the heats. As for drivers not in the list they will be placed in the next available heats.
Hope all these changes will make the MNC more interesting and we do hope more drivers will participate in the coming rounds.
Thank you

Harap ini dapat membantu.

Would like to invite all EP drivers to join us in this Finale for the MNC 05/06 series in Ipoh where it all started.
We have learnt what needs to be done to improve from what happened last time we raced here. Last time it was sandy track, power down/trips and hot humid day.
On the sand, I assure you that is our priority (during NOREX we spent half a day sweeping and vacumming the track). On constant power trips we will ensure that we get constant power but we also request everyone to check your equipment about faulty wiring. On the weather we can either have wet or hot day.
This race will determine or should I say confirm the MALAYSIAN EP CHAMPION for the 05/06 seasons.
We have gone thru a lot of ups and down in EP throughout the year and this race is to close the current chapter.
Lets us group together to show that we are RC enthusiast in this hobby for fun and the thrill for competition. We are also proud people.
