I think its retailing at around $109. I have ran it 33 times on a 7X2 & the brushes are now half the original size & still looks like new, no burnt marks. I was told by some Hong Kong racers that they ran them for over 50 times!! Well, do the simple math, its actually cheaper.

Yes, in the long run it's actually cheaper compared to normal brush. It's just that to fork out RM100 one-shot would make us wondering...
But then, how's the effect on comm??
Either way just make sure you throw away the receipt or world war awaits you at your home..... Grin Grin Grin

KoE,

Agreed on your concern. What I did was to test the right ratio with a set of std or old brushes then moved on to the plutonium to fine tune.
I did over geared on my plutonium on a few occasions, the only symptoms I felt was the sluggish throttle response but the brush showed no signs of over-heating.
Highly recommended for racing or for practice.

RM109 / pair Huh holy smoke  Tongue Grin  i think the advertisement leading to the life of these "wonder" brushes is misleading. TRUE, they will last at least those claimed number of runs given they are properly set (timing etc etc). Boy...someone will bite the bullet; buy the brush, do the timing, adjust the gearing and blow a RM109 pair of brush on the 1st lap LOL!

okay...a bit exaggeration there but cirit happens and least i want is to blow a set of RM109 brush

Frustrated with burnt brushes every time? Overheated brushes? short run time? Burnt comm? Slow car?.
With our hot weather even with a fan mounted can't help much!
try the reedy 777 plutonium brushes, its capable of withstanding severe heat & yet still performs as well as the best brushes you have ever used.
I was using it on my 7X2 yesterday & it had consistent power thru-out the 5 minutes. It was also an old brush which I had ran 9 packs for practice. This brush is expected to last 30 pack by reedy but the Hong Kong racers use it for 50 runs!
The brushes are blackish silver in color & feels heavier.
Definitely the brushes I swear on from now on!
