WWW
this is very shocking news,I'm sure there is a good reason for it,definitely susah for us, but since hardly anybody goes there nowdays during workdays,i can understand why this is done. Is the resurfacing still going to go on?Will your workers, heidi and the other guy still be there?
Hello ALCYON,

Regarding the issue of resurfing Subang Speedway, there is still no confirmation from the management on the matter.
Also our employees will be at Subang Speedway during Saturday and Sunday (11.30am to 6.00pm).

Hope to see u there during weekends... Grin

I've not been to Speedway since April, so is there any progress on the SS Track improvements?

If there is delay what's the problem? Or losing steam liao???

I know this is really stale considering the last entry was sometime back in April.

It would be great if a simple off road track could be set up around the trees. Not something expensive, basically a simple track, set up to conform to the existing conditions/trees. In that way, no trees need to be removed. As for the track, removal of existing grass (if that's not an issue with MPSJ!) and exposing the dirt is good enough to define the width. For starters, timber planks to separate the track at certain locations would do. I know talk is cheap. Maybe when I'm in town later (I'm in S'pore currently due to work), I'll take a look at the grass area and hopefully could come up with some proposals. No obligation on anyone's part.

Something should be done for off roading. It's also a chicken and egg issue when it comes to sales of off roading gear. No track / place to race, the interest is off.

Just my two cents worth.

dude, when can play with ur TC4??

vega B,

Resurfacing the track is definitely going to happen but we want more than resurfacing alone. We want to make this the best EP track around if possible.

Cheers.

Shifting the stand? We will forward this suggestion to the contractor.
We will do our utmost to satisfy all including the less fortunate ones.
Keep the suggestions coming.

Thanks Alcyon & Jamal

Alcyon,

Point taken & my respect to you for your noble intention for the less fortunate ones. Since Subang Speedway is a privately owned & managed one, budget is always a problem. Making rams around the track is very expensive unless sponsors come into play.
I agree is track is pretty worn out. We are in the midst of revamping the track. It was the smoothest track around. In fact it was the only track that I ran 4.5mm ride hide. No other track in M'sia allows this.
Please bear with us, we intend to make it a very good track. Believe me, I have hi expectations on racing tracks.

Thanks. Cheers.

Actually, you don't need to construct a ram up to the drivers' stand. Since the track is lower than the road enbankment, maybe can shift the stand to that side. Then, for the rams up the stand, just use the five foot way, maybe make a pathway from the side of the track to the beginning of the inclination (near the junction) & make a connecting bridge (lockable) to the stands from the top of the enbankment.

If you haven't gone to the track, you wouldn't know what I'm trying to say but I think Chee Yong can understand.

Anyway, whatever you do to the track, just make sure it's 'drivers friendly & also spectator-friendly', ok bro'!

Ciao

number one problem is the surface,it is very rough, last week i drove there with new sorex 40r,my tayar already got hole in it,also my chassis seems to get scrathced very badly cause the surface is also bumpy.it would be perfect if the surface can be done like klang track, which is where i always playing now.technical is good, but not to the point it is impossible to overtake if somone wants to block you.
its a good track, but lets make it better.and please do consider making a special drivers stand for wheelchair bound drivers, cause there was once such a person,he has quit now,but who knows if we made such a facility a long time ago,he woudnt have quit...
