We in Perak join in the appreciation for LHS who continuosly endeavour to upgrade facilities for the drivers. It is a win-win situation. Drivers gets to practice and improve whilst LHS will continue to open for business.
Alas in Ipoh we, drivers are deprived of a facilities to play since the LHS here is not strong enough to support the drivers. We are counting the days when we can call a track a "permanent track"
Thus any improvement at Subang Speedway is something to savior. Hopely it will be gainfully utilised.

i do appreciate what HH is doing and has done at Speedway. It remains my favourite track!
but lets not forget that the only people remotely making money from RC are the hobby shops, so the burden falls on them to make the 1st step to create an exciting place so that ppl can enjoy and participate.

Good luck and thanks for expanding Subang speedway!!

we are already in the midst of it. There are many things to look into from our side eg. planning, contractors, quotations, budget, approvals,etc....
Also I would like to stress that the Subang Speedway track usage is free of charge but built & maintained by H.Haven therefore budgeting is important especially when RC trend now is on a downhill. It isn't something we may earn back overnight.
Things are far more complicated than it seems.

Thanks

Paklan,

As for pictures of the track, I think you can view it on www.hobbyhaven.com.my  This site isn't active, our new website will be up sometime this week.
The track is currently a little small but once the new track is ready we'll invite you & all the rest. We have plans to invite some world class drivers over then. (budget again....)
The BD will arrive soon, please join us to explore the potential of this car. It'll be great to have you on board.

Kreator1,

If all RC enthusiast thinks like you do then we grow very rapidly.

Azman,

Eh, mambo, I will need a budget which can built KLCC for your requirements!! he he...

Ramfit,

Bingo! We'll be doing that once the track is ready! Join us?

The contractor had visited the track last sunday for your info & we are awaiting the quotations for a few proposals.

Question: How much longer & wider to extend? Ideas....

Time To REVENGE

The most Important things is to make the track wider
existing layout is too technical i heard a rumors they wana widen the Track long time ago but until now nothing have been done, maybe there's problems or somethings (but i already know what is the cause)

Yokomo is well known with its Drifter car kit
why not make the track wider so RC Drifter kakis out there can Drift on the Track and also maybe HH can organise Drift Racing in the future if the track are wide enough for Drifting ...shure dam Fun ..!!!
Any one agree with me or wat ....Huh?? Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Hi Chee Yong,

Hmm.. Good query you have here. Well how bout something to do with the pit area, make it more comfortable like aircond, sofa, butler, cuisine meals.. muhahaha... neah just kidding.

Ok guys.. we all know that subang speedway has been there for some time and it was THE track. But as things move on, we need to have better things and subang speedway is giving you people the commitment for the sake of all RC lovers out there. So don't be shy and give us some of your ideas..

In my oppinion.. i think a slightly larger track (width & length) to be extended. About the walls, this is a crazy idea Chee Yong but since were most probabbly be resurfacing it, might as well elevate and camber (so after rain the track dries faster) it too. Watcha think? Just my wild ideas.. will give more when it'll come up..

Cyaaa...

What about gotong royong work. Don't know about KL, but here mostly it's done by gotong royong. Just make sure you guys prepare the meals, drinks, rokok, etc. Or in return for racers coorperation, give them special discounts on purchase or at the very least, give them entrance coupons!
But then, that's just my 2 kupang.... Embarrassed EmbarrassedI never been there. Could anybody please post the pics of the track so that we can have a look?

Chee Yong:
Understood on the financial constraint but just a properly laid out offroad track will do already. At least, ada choice of surface with HH having grass track and HPC having sand/gravel/clay track. But on second thought, you guys must have the product to promote before you can have it, isn't it? Hmmmm ok la, point taken, sir....

Kreator1,
Concrete walls.... we are cracking our heads on this. Any ideas? The wall areas, I don't think it can be removed as it is the foundation to the control stand & the pit area. Any thing we can use to block it?

This will involve high cost to bring down those walls. But i think thats the trill for subang track for beginners.

just prepair some spare arms. Wink

thanx for the response guys, you guys are great!!
We are in the midst of planning on all the above mentioned.

Jamal,
We'll try to cater for spectators stand if $$$ permits. Got sponsor? hehe...
As for off-road, we have intentions too but priority to on-road first due to manpower & again $$$. Unless if there is volunteers.

Nak Pencen,
Point taken. but should we open thru out the week? or add a few more nights to the existing 2 nights? EP is slow now, if no one plays then it will be wasted. Also might exhaust our guys at the shop. Which are the nights you would suggest to open?

Speedy R3,
Yes, we have intentions to re-surface the track & we'll try to make it even smoother.
Our guys cleans the track twice a month but lately this may not be sufficient due to road construction nearby. However, we'll try to do better.
Widening, lengthening & re-designing the track is in the works as we speak. Any suggestions on these aspect?

My input here:
1. Make the track a spectator-friendly track. If possible, just a small 'tangga kambing' will do for spectators to sit & watch.

2. Any chance of an offroad track? Not like the existing one, 'pusing-pusing pokok'.

Suggestion:

1. Re-surface the track to a smoother track surface.

2. Extend Nite Playing Hours.

3. Cleaner Track Conditions.

4. If posibble to widen the track width and also to extend the length.

5. Re-Design the Track Layout.

Now we can play at night on Tuesday & Thursday. Why not open the track every night from Monday to Friday ? I suggest the service center to start business at 4 PM instead of 1.00 PM. with that will be  3 hours extra and the track can close at 10 PM every night from Monday-Friday. After all most of the EP guys will be there starting 3.30 PM. It also good for business rather than the 3 hours where little business be made.

My 2 cent.

These are few complaints that we have gathered:
- the walls around the track should be removed.
- the track should be cleaned

Well, what else? come on guys, speak up. Smiley

Hi guys,
Need some feed back from all of you to give some pointers on how we could improve things at the Subang Speedway. Reason is because we are constantly trying to improve to make things more comfortable for all.
Cheers.
