when your old packs are charged with the MM CM, it will tend to say 'Over-Vot' i think the voltage of the pack is too high. it comes from the older cells having too much internal resistance. What you can do is to reduce the charging current, cycle it up once or twice.

Yes i meant to write a review but my PC reset half way and I had to go out.
Main/interesting features: 1. White LCD backlight (like Nokia handphones) 2. Temp probe for temp cut-off 3. CTX- 3 Phase charging ( different charge characteristics ) , much like the RObi EXP 3P. 4. Multi cut-off including temperature, voltage peak, capacity cut. 5. 0.1-10A discharge 6. Outlet for optional temperature controlled fan OR battery warmer (temp controlled) 7. Dual high speed (really high speed) fans. 8. Lipo and Li Ion charging. On to the text : When you switch it on, it greets you with your customised greeting and a melody. You can choose between 3 memory for linear peak charge and 3 memory for CTX charge (multi phase). ALso got discharge and other utilities. Charging: On the linear charge mode you can set the delta peak, temperature cut-off and also the capacity cut-off. I used this charge extensively for all my GP3300 cells.I used the suggested settings:4.5A, 0mV, 50C cut-off,3800 cap. Battery does not feel out of punch compared with 5A or even 6A charge. Its comforting to know you should have better runtimes as well. Runtime feels great and it doesnt over-charge at all. It ends charge at around 3600++ and cells are less than 45C. If your cells have been rested a long time or has been trayed, you should enable the peak-lock because the pack will 0mV peak easily in the 1st few minutes. Peak-lock will disable after a user preset time (usually 15 mins) and it will then detect the peak as normal. With this I have NEVER encountered a mis-peak for 6 cell GP3300. It always mis-peak if you charge long-rested cells without locking. I have also used it to charge 8 cell transmitter batts. GP1300 AA cells. This is the only problem I have with the charger. It is not able to charge 8 cells AA at high currents. The most I can charge without error is 0.6A. It seems my 12V 10A power supply is not able to handle the load but my previous charger the CDC v6 I charge the same packs at 2-3A b4 without problem whatsoever. I will try someone else's power supply and see. The only thing i can do now is to charge the transmitter pack at 0.4A for many hours. I hope if you have 2000+ AA's you should look for a 20A power supply. I have tried CTX charging several times but I don't really notice muc h difference in terms of performance. All i can say is that it allows you to charge up the cells MUCH faster without over-heating the cells. from 0-2000mAh you can set 9A or 7A,2000-2800 5A and 2800 -3600 4.5A.That way its much faster but your pack will end up at almost the same temperature as 4.5A. The long term effects are also not known yet since this is only the 1st 6 months this type of charging has been introduced.
B4 you begin charging you have to set the temp, voltage peak, and capacity. During charge you can still change those values as you like, including changing current. Your own multi phase hahaha.
After the charge ends it will display whether it is the capacity cut-off (more charge then what you set), voltage cut (peak) or temperature cut(overheat)
Misc features: It can support a Much More fan, and you can set the fan to blow at a certain temperature, and stop at a certain temperature. Also there is a heating tray which is temp controlled.
Discharge: It can cycle 6 cell packs at up to 10A and afterwards you can view the internal resistance (IR), Capacity, avg voltage, end temperature etc. For reference some of my cells show 3200++ at 7.4V avg, which is very accurate.
Settings: you can set different melodies for different conditions like finish, error etc. You can also set a greeting, like your name, your team etc. Almost every single variable is user definable. Great for fiddlers like me!
Overall: In terms of charging up sub-C packs, there is nothing better out there in its price range. It has some beef with AA cells because of the number of cells ( and also the high internal resistance. The included manual is very informative and the suggested settings work very well. All the other minor features are extremely nice, but they wear off after a while. I'm so sure the charger detects peak properly I usually don't attach the temperature probe anymore. I think there is no charger in its price range that can compare in terms of extra features and its bread and butter charging function works damned well too.
Weaknesses: 1. Doesn't like old batteries 2. Doesn't charge 8 cells well enough (though it might be my own PS) 3. 10A discharge rate too low for matching/rematching purposes.
