Thanks guys. It will the 1st time ever Malaysia is represented in the IFMAR Electrics. 4 of us will be going, Eric Chow, Leonard Pong, Leong Seng Chung & myself. We will be taking off this coming Sunday on the 24th. We will not be having much chance to practice as the track will be closed. We can only do so on the official controlled practice which also determines the grouping position. A huge disadvantage! However, we will be well backed up by Yokomo & SMC factory equipments. In fact, we are already testing some prototypes specially designed for the FullThrottle track. This will be the biggest event in my RC racing diary & I hope that pressure will not get the better of me. I will need lots of hopes & luck from you guys back here. My wish is to make the RC world aware that Malaysia do have a great RC following & to learn as much as possible to bring home to my fellow RC enthusiast! Some of you may be aware that I have been practising alot recently is due to this. The last 3 races, I was also quite satisfied with my performance as I tested myself by using my 'retired batteries' to race which I manage to win although my lap times were no where near impressive. I will keep you guys posted with the latest from US & will make QD-Forum the official local website.
Heard Mr Ong Chee Yong will be going to USA for the 2004 IFMAR 1/12th and 1/10th ISTC Touring Car Eletrics World Championships to be held in Kissimmee, Florida, U.S.A., from 23rd - 30th October, 2004.
All the best and the best of luck to him, you're going to need a lot of it!
